Looks like the Moto Droid X is finally official on Verizon for $199! The Droid X is amongst the new large screen Android run smartphones with the latest speed processor. It comes packed with great features too!

    *  A huge 4.3", 16:9, 854x480 screen (that's 400,000 pixels)
    * HDMI out and DLNA support
    * 1GHz OMAP processor
    * Full Flash 10.1 (not available at launch)
    * 8 gigs on board and a 16gig card included, but compatible with 32gig SD cards for a total potential memory of 40 gigs
    * 512mb RAM
    * 8 megapixel camera that captures 720p HD video
    * Three microphones (outward-facing for video, noise-canceling, and regular)
    * a 1570mAh battery, which should be 'comparable to the Droid 1' on battery life
    * GPS, Bluetooth, WiFi, naturally

As you can see the device has a lot to offer, and more! It comes with some great apps already pre installed such as the BlockBuster app to rent movies, Backup Assistant, Skype, NFL Mobile etc. The device will be available on the 15th of July, going for $199 with a $100 mail in rebate, and a $29.99 data fee plan. Better yet, no matter when you contract ends, as long as it ends in 2010 you are eligible for an upgrade! The downfall is that it will not include Flash at release, but will eventually be incorporated.

Are any of you thinking of taking this up? I won't be but it's cool that they're offering an early upgrade.

Yeah, that is pretty cool. I've heard rumors that they're giving incredible users 60 days to return the phone also, but I haven't looked in to it because I'm not interested.

Apparently, Verizon is giving $25 cash cards to those on the wait list for the Incredible.

Have any of you decided to go for the x yet?

And b.b., they're giving the 25 dollars to people because they missed the ship by date, not to get them to wait for the incredible.

I don't know if I can go for the X yet...What if the Storm 3 comes by november? According to the rumors, the S3 is suppose to be Verizon's first or second LTE phone and LTE is getting launched mid November... So the S3 can come around November or December...

What i mean is the order is being delayed so they give them a $25 card because of the missed ship date due to the shortage of AMOLED. I would much rather switch to the X as they are offering that as an option over taking the $25 and still having to wait for it!!!! Is that good?

Yup,my reading comprehension is off. I'd take both though, let them give me $25 and then switch if I wanted to.

I think that they will sell quite a few x's, especially with the early upgrade. That, and I have to admit, it is a sweet phone.
